Job Title: Senior Machine Learning EngineerLocation: Hybrid in Laguna Hills, CA - 3 days onsiteSalary: $130,000 - $180,000Requirements: 3+ years We are a well-funded , small company that has been around for over 10 years creating chips that hold AI technology. Our chips are currently being used for electric vehicles, home security and surveillance, home intelligence and maintenance, manufacturing maintenance and management, robotics, automation, quality control, healthcare data, and fitness equipment! Due to our increased workload, we are currently looking to add a Machine Learning Engineer to our experienced team in Laguna Hills, CA! We have about 40 employees, but this person will be on our R&D team (about 5 engineers) reporting to the Lead Data Scientist. This is an opportunity to develop AI using new algorithms that people have not seen before for new hardware that no one has programmed before! We are looking for talented candidates that have studied subjects like Theoretical Physics or AI. Responsibilities: Develop industry-leading edge algorithms for state-of-the-art, novel computer architectures. Assist the team in pioneering new algorithms in Generative Edge AI. Work closely with the research team to translate ML models from theory to practice. Develop and maintain efficient code in Python, C, and C++ for use in a fast-paced research environment. Stay current with advancements in ML, embedded AI, and related technologies. Collaborate on ML algorithm/hardware co-design tasks to enhance system performance. Debug and benchmark software to ensure optimal performance on our hardware. Interface with customers to understand their needs and provide technical support for ML applications. Contribute to the development of our software stack and toolchain. Contribute to patents and publications. Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field with 5+ years of experience; or a Master's Degree with 3+ years of experience. Strong background in machine learning and embedded AI through a well-regarded university program or extensive self-study. High proficiency in Python, C, or C++. Experience with ML frameworks such as TensorFlow, Keras, and PyTorch. Understanding of computer architecture principles.
