Job Title: Tax Reporting and Vendor Administrator W2 Rate: $30/hr LOCATION DETAILS: Portland, OR - hybrid onsite Only taking USC, GC or H4 EAD LOCAL APPLICANTS ONLY Duration: 6 month contract to hire Job Description Requirements: Knowledge of 1099/1042 reporting and related processes. Strong leadership, project management, and cross-functional team experience. Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Ability to work independently, manage deadlines, and handle confidential matters. Flexible schedule during peak workloads. Associate's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field with 2+ years in Accounts Payable (or equivalent experience). Day to Day Responsibilities: Ensuring accurate and timely completion of the annual 1099/1042 process. Tasks include form preparation, filing, reconciliation, handling inquiries, and ensuring corrections. Oversee Sales and Use tax filings, including tax provisions, payment calculations, journal entries, reconciliations, and return work papers. Investigate discrepancies as needed. Provide ad-hoc analysis on 1099/1042 and sales/use tax reporting. Serve as a liaison to Tax and Procurement teams. Maintain/oversee Vendor Master database, including setup, approvals, compliance checks, and data accuracy. Analyze production data to create key department metrics using Excel and data mining techniques. Assist with projects by developing work plans, allocating resources, assessing impacts, and engaging management in key decisions.
