JOB PURPOSE You will lead innovations that will make our business win and grow. The US Corporate & Commercial Counsel will be part of the broader North America National Team - a dynamic team of lawyers across the US and Canada specializing in various areas of law. This role will support and report into the US Senior Counsel for Corporate & Commercial, servicing the Unilever core business as well as the Global Business Units. The US Counsel will work both independently and alongside other legal partners to advise various teams across all US businesses. The candidate must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, both independently and as part of a team. WHAT WILL YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES BE Support on review, drafting and negotiation of a variety of commercial contracts; Work cross-functionally on projects to meet critical business objectives; Develop, improve, and implement contracting guidelines and processes; Identify and leverage internal synergies across all US businesses; Stay abreast of relevant and emerging trends in the law; Partner with functional and legal partners to leverage and scale enterprise technology. WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO SUCCEED Experiences & Qualifications Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school. Admission in good standing to practice law in at least one U.S. state. 3-4 years of general corporate and commercial transactional experience. In-house experience in the CPG Industry is a plus. Experience leveraging technology to enhance legal services is a plus. Skills Strong oral communication, interpersonal, drafting, and negotiation skills. Strong work ethic and "hands on" mentality. Highly organized, able to manage multiple tasks. Strong business acumen and ability to assess legal risk. Commitment to continuous learning. Proficient in Microsoft Excel is a plus. BUSINESS ACUMEN : Creates sustainable growth with purpose. What We Can Offer You Pay: The pay range for this position is $99,760 to $149,640. Bonus: This position is bonus eligible. Long-Term Incentive (LTI): This position is LTI eligible.
