This position is responsible for coordinating and directing Team Members to support manufacturing operations and organizing people and activities efficiently. The Production Supervisor plans and assigns work, implements policies and procedures, and recommends improvements in production methods, equipment, operating procedures and working conditions. They coordinate activities during special events such as plant emergencies and equipment downtime periods. They are also responsible for achieving immediate and short-term objectives as described by the Plant Manager. Applicants must be available to work rotating shifts in a 24/7 operating environment. Primary Role and Responsibilities * Assigning work, training, vacation planning, breaks, overtime assignments, and backfilling absent Team Members * Coordinating production startups, shutdowns and changeovers * Ensuring shift EHS, quality and production goals are met * Operating within Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) * Conducting shift meetings * Ensuring quality control and making adjustments as necessary * Ensuring a clean and safe work area * Completing all shift reports * Providing leadership and direction to Team Members via a strong floor presence (investing 90% of time on the floor engaged with Production Associates) * Directly engages Team Members through coaching and counseling, and corrective action according to Company guidelines * Making recommendations regarding hiring and terminating Team Members * Ensuring all Team Members follow Company Health & Safety standards as well as requirements of OSHA * Managing shift time and attendance system * Identifying personnel shortages from day to day and adjusting work assignments accordingly * Ensuring effective employee relations and work with site leadership to resolve issues * Performing accident and near-hit investigations including documentation requirements * Coordinating activities with maintenance to complete required machine maintenance and repair * Maintains employee training and performance records * Coordinate activities during emergency situations according to Company guidelines * Training Team Members on all departmental procedures, quality procedures and all related work instructions, safety training and company policies Requirements: * Minimum High School Diploma or Equivalent * Minimum of two years in a production supervisor role in a manufacturing environment * Knowledge of the manufacturing processes, procedures and high-volume production machinery and systems * Proven experience related to lean principles and practices, and continuous improvement * Strong dedication to team member morale, internal customer service, safety, quality and delivery * Fluency in the English, both written and spoken. * Able to use simple math and use basic handheld measuring tools * Self-motivated while being able to give clear direction and work in groups * Proficiency with Microsoft Office. * Must personally adhere to Company EHS policies. * Knowledgeable of industrial coating and panel cutting processes, preferred * Experience working in a union environment a plus. #LI-DB1 #ONSITE We Help People Walk Through Walls We respect the privacy of candidates for employment.
