Work and communicate directly with the Shipping Lead person. This position requires attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Computer skills are essential for success in this role, as are great communication skills. There is daily contact via email and telephone with customers, and freight company dispatch. WHAT WE OFFER YOU: * A fulfilling career with the ability to contribute to an Industry leader * A comprehensive suite of benefits * Competitive salary commensurate with experience * A generous 401k match * Profit sharing for all full-time employees HOW YOU'LL MAKE A DIFFERENCE: * Print pick tickets according to department SOW. * Process VI and private label orders to the correct companies each day. * Maintain databases for shipping matrix (i.e., LTL load tracker / Cost savings tracker). * Daily scheduling of LTL carriers with load size and weights. * Daily shipment processing and order confirmation as well as data entry (scan documents, and pictures). * Assist in data entry of interdivision shipments. * Keep the work area, tools, material, and equipment clean and orderly. * Follow Douglas Dynamics rules regarding work and conduct. * Communicate with both whole goods and P/A coworkers to ensure accuracy of counts and weights. * Communicate with Customer Service daily to solve order or pick ticket problems. * Execute other duties as assigned. * Participate in DDMS training as offered (JR, JI,5s, Kaizen). * Operate and maneuver forklift proficiently and safely to lift, move and pack merchandise. (a plus) WHAT THIS ROLE NEEDS: Education/Experience: High school equivalency or higher Experience and/or Training: Computer skills and data entry experience. Fork lift certification is a plus. Additional Skills: Able to work in a team environment and communicate well with coworkers.
