We are currently seeking a Production Supervisor who will be responsible for: * Leading, supporting and building the best team (makes recommendations on hiring and firing), training the associates on standard manufacturing processes and ensuring all Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost (SQDC) and continuous improvement initiatives are met and sustained. * Prioritizing the production schedule based on customer demand, equipment and staffing efficiency, material supplies, and business priorities. Coordinating between functional areas to provide on-time delivery. * Taking initiative, make decisions within the limits of approval authority, and keep management informed of developments as they occur. * Planning and managing the costs for the value stream responsibly, including labor, production, maintenance, shop supplies, tooling, and fixtures. * Conducting pre-shift meetings, provide hands-on training, planning, assigning, and directing work on shift. * Evaluating Associate performance, provide performance feedback on a regular basis, complete annual performance, and compensation cycle. * Identifying gaps that need addressed to ensure our systems are effective. This position reports to the Value Stream Manager and is part of the Plastics Manufacturing Department located in Indianapolis, IN and will be an on-site role. The required qualifications for the job include: * Minimum education and experience requirements: * High school degree with 8+ years experience. OR * Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of experience OR * Master's degree with 3+ years of experience. * Possess a high sense of urgency, ability to work in fast-paced environment. * Willing to work any shift assigned. * Ability to adapt to changes in responsibilities based on business needs. * Self-motivated and ability to motivate others with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. * Demonstrated use of problem solving to drive organizational performance. * Ability to explain information, convey performance expectations and handle sensitive issues while using tools such as personal computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft systems such as Excel, Access, and PowerPoint. It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in: * Experience in leading continuous improvement, Six Sigma efforts and kaizen project team are desirable. * Demonstrated planning and organizational agility. #LI-LW1 Join our winning team today.
