Job Summary: The Transportation Design Manager's primary responsibilities are to lead the design of projects, determine and assign appropriate team members and oversee the technical aspects of design teams. Duties/Responsibilities: * In coordination with the group and regional leaders, lead technical development of transportation work within the organization. * Asses technical skill levels and development needs of individual team member throughout the business unit. * In coordination with the group and regional leaders, organize and coordinate group workload and assignments based on team members individual skill levels and abilities. * Continually assess the design process at Keller Associates. Make recommendations and help execute updates to our process, including quality control and quality assurance measures. * Lead the development of solutions to complex problems that require a high degree of innovation and ingenuity and guide other staff implementing those solutions. * Provide technical expertise at all levels of project development. Act as the primary resource for technical questions, requests for guidance and design standards both internally and externally. * In coordination with the group and regional leaders, manage training, development, and mentorship of transportation group members. * Perform other duties as assigned. Required Skills/Abilities: * Ability to lead and motivate a team members shared goals, with a track record of identifying effective solutions, optimizing efficiencies, and allocating resources effectively. * Excellent technical abilities and project development skills. * Ability to work successfully with project managers and other discipline design mangers to perform multi-disciplinary projects in multiple disciplines with a range of approaches. * Strong written and verbal communication skills. * Effective organizational and analytical skills.
