Job Title: Open Pit Technician Location: FIFO ex Perth or Kalgoorlie Residential, Western Australia Roster: 8 days on, 6 days off, followed by 7 nights on, 7 nights off About MMS: Mineral Mining Services (MMS) delivers full turn-key contract mining services to established and start-up mines in Western Australia. We specialise in transforming explorers into producers and are actively developing our own owner-operated gold mine. About the Role: We are seeking motivated and detail-oriented Open Pit Technicians to join our team. This role focuses on supporting the geology team with ore-spotting, grade control, and mapping geological observations to ensure accurate and efficient updates to ore domain models. Key Responsibilities: Assist the geology team with ore mark-ups and general pit activities. Conduct ore-spotting and allocate appropriate ore classifications. Material movement tracking. Map geological observations within the pit to support updates to ore domain models. Undertake grade control sampling, including blast hole and RC sampling. Provide support for surveying activities such as pit mark-outs, pickups, pegging, and taping. Maintain accurate records using Microsoft Suite and various internal systems. Provide assistance to other operational areas as required. Required Skill and Experience: Current C-Class (Manual) Driver's License. Safety focused mindset. Keen interest in geology. Commitment to achieving high-quality results. Previous experience in a mining environment. Ability to work independently and unsupervised. Excellent organisational and communication skills.
