We are looking for a Data Center Security Specialist to join our expanding Non-Traditional Edge Control Center team. Our ideal candidate is detail-oriented, innovative, and professional. They have a passion for delighting customers, teamwork, and continuous improvement. The Data Center Security Specialist role may encompass oversight of contract employee deliverables and collaboration with Edge Security Managers in order to devise security strategies, achieve financial targets, and to improve the overall operational security within our Data Centers. They will report to the NTE Control Center Security Manager. Key job responsibilities Interface with and assist in mobilizing vendors involved in system repairs and new security construction Coordinate the activities of a professional contract guard force Oversee individual security vendor deliverables, track service delivery and request corrective actions from vendors as needed Foster working relationships to educate Edge stakeholders on false alarm reductions Extract metrics and observe improvements by looking at and analyzing data Verify Data Center security programs are delivered to meet defined global security standards Develop strategies for improving electronic surveillance and access controls Draft reports and prepare presentations on the status of physical security operations Collaborate with managers in writing and implementing security processes and procedures Serve as a customer advocate by identifying security-related opportunities and crafting innovative solutions that maintain uncompromising security standards Be able to travel between local sites as needed, up to 25% of the workweek BASIC QUALIFICATIONS 1+ year of experience working in a standards-based professional work environment 1+ year of experience collecting, analyzing, and utilizing data to drive process and system improvement, and effect quality assurance 1+ year of experience with Microsoft Office tools PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills 1+ year working in an operations, physical security or equivalent environment 2+ years of experience collecting, analyzing, and utilizing data Participated in an Integrated Project Team or served as part of team to complete a general project 2+ years of experience compiling reports 1+ years of demonstrated leadership skills 1+ years of incident response & management experience 3+ years of experience with Microsoft Office tools Amazon is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace.
