Production SuperintendentDepartment: ProductionEmployment Type: Full TimeLocation: Corrigan, TXReporting To: Production ManagerDescriptionPrimary Responsibilities: The Production Superintendent is responsible for managing all activities associated with safely maximizing green and dry flake production, managing operating costs, and fuel storage and usage.Manage planned and unplanned maintenance activities in the facility with vendors and in house resources. Schedule activities to maximize equipment uptime and minimize cost to the business. Coordinate OEM visits and ensure timely actions as a result of inspection findings.Manage inventory of consumable and wear parts. Ensure storage areas are well maintained and neatly organized.Monitor machine and crew productivity and initiate projects to maximize both.Provide realtime coaching and training for team members to operate equipment consistently and efficiently. Develop and audit PM programs.Ensure coordination of downday activities between maintenance, production, and contractors.Provide real time communication to the management team regarding the status of operational issues.Track, understand, and improve operational costs and material usage. Coordinate team member's schedules to ensure cross training and team member development.Work with Shift Team Leaders to improve overall crew performance.Ensure teams maintain high area housekeeping standards.Develop Team Leaders and High Potential team members.Propose updated operating plans to deal with changing conditions.
