Reliability Technician M-F Day Shift Plant 5

Job Summary: To maintain plant and equipment functions and reliability by utilizing predictive maintenance technologies, machine lubrication best practices and proper fluid power maintenance practices. Knowledge | Experience | Skills: High School Diploma or GED required. 3-5 years of experience in a pro-active maintenance role performing predictive maintenance on rotating plant equipment, hydraulic systems maintenance, and best practices for machine lubrication. Knowledge of vibration analysis, collection and reporting, thermography/ infrared and machine lubrication best practices. Ability to read electrical and hydraulic prints. Experience with CMMS and Maximo software preferred. Must be able to work safely, following company policies and practices including lock out tag out procedures and wearing all required personal protective equipment. Must be team orientated, motivated and actively participate in and promote a safe working environment. Essential Duties & Responsibilities: * Assist in the selection and application of the proper grease, oil lubricants, and hydraulic fluids for all machinery on the Asheboro Campus. * Participate in the determination of effective grease, oil, and hydraulic fluid application methods (including automated delivery) that are the most effective for all machinery. * Audit machine centers to verify effectiveness and reliability of predictive analyses and document findings * Collect, extract and analyze representative oil, fluid, vibration, acoustical, and thermal samples from all mechanical and electrical systems: create work orders based on results of analysis, ensure completion of work orders related to analysis and lubrication, document findings and establish recordkeeping systems, conduct training as necessary and document training. * Make recommendations for component replacements based upon predictive analyses. Order components as necessary * Work with the Maintenance Manager to scheduled parts replacement based upon predictive analyses * Participate in PM development * Assist the plant maintenance department in troubleshooting machine and system malfunctions. * Conduct root cause analyses of machine and component failures. * Must be willing to work flexible schedule as needed including overtime, weekends, and holidays.
