Director of Sales The Director of Sales will own the bottom of the funnel, overseeing Account Executive (AE) Managers and Account Executives. As a people-first leader, this role will be responsible for driving results and owning initiatives that impact the sales team and the entire business. Coaching and training are critical parts of the team's DNA, so this person will have a high EQ and a passion for developing talent. Alma sells to licensed mental health providers. The sales process is high-velocity and highly transactional. Reporting to the SVP of Sales, this role will play a pivotal part in building the foundational processes of Alma's sales team. What you'll do: Strategy & Domain Expertise Partner with SVP of Sales and Sales Operations on forecasting, budget, headcount planning, individual rep KPIs, commission design, compensation, and visualization across the revenue organization - pre-sale to post-sale. Own setting multi-year AE Strategy with a focus on sales process, sales pitch, and pipeline management through an understanding of our buyer persona, our business model, and our sales methodology. Lead cross-functional projects to support strategic revenue initiatives. Evaluate, design, and/or delegate complex processes for optimization as needed. Identify business challenges and opportunities, owning and executing a solution. Oversee reporting on sales results - track progress, pinpoint trends, and fine-tune conversion rates, providing insights to influence executive decision-making. Leadership Provide strong coaching and development to Managers and AEs. Own sales training to increase the team's sales acumen and business knowledge. Drive sales results with a strong emphasis on the how and process that is equitable, repeatable, and scalable. Partner with BDR Management and Provider Growth Marketing to align the top of funnel strategy with the bottom of the funnel. Partner cross-functionally with Sales Enablement, Product Marketing, and Product teams to continue to build upon our go-to-market strategy. Culture Lead from the front with curiosity, building a healthy sales culture centered on growth, feedback, and accountability. Lead change management through clear, direct communication, presenting a compelling narrative that motivates and engages reps by connecting changes to broader goals and individual success. Who you are: You have 7+ years of senior-level management and sales experience in tech companies, with start-up experience a plus. You have 4+ years of experience managing managers. You have experience with transactional sales, full cycle sales, and account management. You have experience building robust learning programs that enable both sales managers and reps to move the needle. You are results-oriented with a proven track record of scaling pipeline and revenue growth. You are passionate about developing others, with a proven track record of growing people managers and sales reps. You are experienced with change management and can manage tough conversations. You have the unique ability to build trust through logic, empathy, and authenticity. You have the capacity to seamlessly flex between high-level critical thinking and hands-on, diligent problem-solving. You care about the details while being able to scale back and look at the bigger picture. You have strong analytical skills and experience with data-driven decision-making. You have experience using Salesforce, Salesloft, and Gong; an expert in building dashboards and deeply understanding opportunities. You are a direct communicator. Salary: $160,000On Target Commission: $95,000 Alma's compensation philosophy is driven by our company value of building equity.
