FINANCE DEPARTMENT PRIMARY JOB DUTIES: Perform difficult but routine clerical tasks in maintaining financial accounts and records which require standardized applications using various information processing systems. The work involves performance of account keeping, auditing, cashiering or related tasks within clearly defined limits where similar items are constantly recurring. Usually works under general supervision on standard assignments in accordance with detailed procedures. An employee in this class may be assigned duties as a cashier, requiring the receipt and deposit of large sums of money in payment of taxes and special assessments, in payroll, in accounts payable or in accounts receivable. Work of employee is checked by one or more other steps in an accounting process. Does related work as required. Qualifications Graduation from High School or possession of an equivalency diploma issued by the State Education Department of New York AND Two (2) years of clerical experience which shall have included financial record keeping. Special Requirements Must be a City of New Rochelle Resident.
