IDEAL ELECTRIC COMPANY, a 121-year-old, independent American manufacturer of high-power, specialty electric motors, generators, power systems and controls seeks an experienced Production Supervisor who is a highly organized self-starter capable of working in a fast-paced, multi-discipline team environment with the ability to manage competing priorities to achieve company goals while upholding a culture of ethics, integrity, and excellence in everything we do. This first shift salaried position is based in our Mansfield, Ohio facility, reports to the VP of Operations and plays a key role throughout our product lifecycle through design, supply, manufacture, and customer application for our quality products.This position requires access or potential access to Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) which is Not Releasable to Foreign Nationals (NOFORN) data. To meet the NOFORN requirement, candidates will be required to provide proof of US Citizenship, attest that they do not have dual citizenship, and are otherwise eligible to access and manage regulated information.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES:Oversee scheduling and manufacturing processes for efficiency, productivity, and quality of products, to meet customer expectations and to render on-time deliveries Ensure adequate staffing for production needs; manage production/welding staff while maintaining good relationsResolve problems and take corrective action Provide training, support, direction, & guidance to subordinate personnel to assist with job skill developmentOrder production-related parts, tools, and supplies as needed Record production activities in ERP system as required Manage inventory control in ERP systemProvide maintenance services as needed Maintain environmental records for compliance with local, state, and federal agencies Support quality and safety initiatives; oversee housekeeping efforts in manufacturing areasDESIRED QUALIFICATIONS & COMPETENCIESHigh School Diploma or certified equivalent, and/or education obtained through a tech school, college, or related coursesFive+ years working in a manufacturing environment & five+ years in manufacturing supervision and/or management role.Experience working with customers and vendors in a B2B environmentTeamwork approach with excellent communication skillsAnalytical thinking and problem-solving capabilityExceptional attention to detail and time-management skillsThis position often uses standard office equipment such as phones, computers, and copiers/printers.Technical literacy with proficiency in the Microsoft Office 365 suite, project management, and ERP systemsBasic knowledge of manufacturing maintenance is helpfulWORKING CONDITIONS AND WORK HOURSDaily minimum of 8 hours. Weekly 40 hour minimum.
