Production Supervisor

This role supervises and coordinates activities of workers engaged in operating variety of machines to manufacture parts or products. Location: Faribault South, MN Shift: 1st shift Monday-Thursday + available overtime What you will do: * Monitors production activities to eliminate delays and ensure adherence to production and shipping schedules * Assists in carrying out production objectives at the lowest cost, consistent with the organization's quality requirements * Assures safety and product quality while improving production procedures * Coordinates work flow with the various departments involved * Reports damaged and defective equipment to management * Trains other employees in day to day procedures * Maintains quality/quantity standards regarding output * Analyzes work orders to estimate worker hours and create machining schedules that meet both internal and external needs * Interprets specifications, blueprints, and job orders to workers, and assigns duties * Plans flow of materials through department according to work orders * Interfaces with others in the organization to ensure customer deadlines are met * Inspects and measures parts and products to verify conformance to specifications * Directs workers in adjusting machines and equipment to repair products that fail to meet standards * Establishes or adjusts work procedures to meet production schedules * Develops, recommends, and implements measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product * Suggests changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of shop, department, or work crew * Analyzes and resolves work problems, or assists workers in solving work problems. * Maintains time and production records * Assists with capital equipment justifications for machine tools and process technology to improve quality, cost, and cycle times * Other duties as assigned What's in it for you: * Medical/Dental/Vision coverage, PTO, 401K match, support for community involvement and much more * The ability to make an impact and shape your career with a company that is passionate about growth * The support of an organization that believes it is vital to include and engage diverse people, perspectives, and ideas to achieve our best Minimum Qualifications: * High School diploma or equivalent * 5+ years of related experience * Work visa sponsorship is not available for this position Preferred Qualifications: * Bachelor's Degree in related field * 3+ years of direct supervisory experience Benefits: Daikin Applied offers the following benefits for this position, subject to applicable eligibility requirements: * Multiple medical insurance plan options + dental and vision insurance * 401K retirement plan with employer contributions matching 100% of the first 3% of employee contributions and 50% on the next 2% of employee contributions * Company provided life insurance + optional employee paid voluntary life insurance, dependent life coverage and voluntary accident coverage * Short term disability and optional employee paid voluntary long term disability * 40 hours paid time off for new employees, if hired prior to June 30 * 88 hours company paid holidays * 48 hours of paid sick and safe time, prorated based on start date * Tuition reimbursement after 6 months of continuous service The typical annual base salary for this position ranges from $66,000-$92,000 in MN. The range displayed represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade which this position falls. Individual base pay will depend on a wide range of factors including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
