General Overview: Bartenders are responsible for providing warm hospitality and knowledgeable service to all guests. Bartenders prepare, mix, and serve consistently excellent beverages to guests either directly or through serving staff, following all standard operating procedures and recipes. They will work to provide impeccable hospitality to each of our guests, working specifically with each individual's needs to curate the best experience possible. General Duties and Responsibilities Greet guests warmly and take drink orders. Prepare and serve a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to established recipes. Maintain a strong knowledge of the beverage menu, including spirits, beers, wines, and cocktails. Provide recommendations and use suggestive selling techniques to enhance the guest experience. Keep the bar area clean, organized, and stocked with necessary supplies. Monitor and manage inventory levels, placing orders for replenishments as needed. Process payments accurately and keep track of customer tabs. Verify customers' age to comply with legal drinking requirements. Ensure responsible alcohol service and adhere to liquor laws and safety standards. Coordinate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure seamless service. Handle difficult situations professionally, including dealing with intoxicated or underage guests. Maintain and clean bar equipment, report malfunctions to management. Qualifications Legal age to serve alcohol Alcohol Training Awareness Program (ATAP) certification Food Protection Certificate (if required) Bartending skills and experience Physical ability to stand and lift heavy items Strong customer service and interpersonal skills Physical ability to stand and lift up to 50 pounds Chama Mama is an equal opportunity employer.
