Job Description Use computer-aided design (CAD) software to design and draft different drawings and maps for construction projects. Drafting will primarily include civil and electrical-related drawings for transmission, distribution, and substation projects. Create and modify drawings from engineer-provided markups. Produce work/plan redline markup and comments. Take ownership of the quality and accuracy of one's work. Work in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities. Interact and work together with other teams to provide integrated services and support. Preparation of design packages including plotting, printing, and submittals. Additional duties as assigned. Required Qualifications 2-year associate degree/certification in Drafting/Design/CAD required or in active pursuit of related Engineering degree with 2-year curriculum completed at minimum. 5+ years of experience and proficiency with Bentley MicroStation, creating 2D and 3D models. Sound knowledge of drafting principles, techniques, and procedures. Strong analytical, and problem-solving skills, and attention to detail. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Proficient in using Microsoft Office suite (e.g., Excel, Word, and Outlook). Preferred Qualifications 1+ years of experience with Substation, Transmission, Civil Engineering, or other related projects is an asset. Experience with additional drafting software AutoCAD, Autodesk Civil 3D, Autodesk Inventor, and/or ArcGIS software is an asset. Experience with Transmission Line Software, PLS CADD is a plus. This position's hourly rate range approximation is $30-$45, depending on numerous factors such as applicable experience, skills, knowledge, credentials, geographical location, etc. Kosmos Group is committed to ensuring equal employment opportunities for all job applicants and employees.
