Read more about our story at: The roleWe are currently recruiting a Production Supervisor to join the IPL team in Shelbyville, Ky. Reporting to OPS Manager this is a demanding role for an ambitious and dynamic professional with drive, determination, and the desire to work in a highly commercial and growth-focused environment. Provides indirect/direct supervision over the shift operators and over a group of cells or machines to meet daily safety, quality, and production targets.As a Production Supervisor at IPL, you will: Train and coach production line employees. Ensures solid two-way communication amongst team and with other management. Oversee production start-ups, shutdowns, and changeovers. Conduct daily shift meetings. Responsible for meeting shift production goals. Responsible for quality control and adjust as necessary during shifts to ensure high quality products. Operate within defined procedures and Job Safety requirements. Safe housekeeping standards are always maintained to ensure a clean and safe working area. Responsible for providing a daily report for oncoming supervision. Ensure that all production reports, purchase requisitions and accident/incident reports are properly completed. Other duties as assigned.What you will bring to the role: Ability to exhibit sound judgement and response in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Conveys information in a clear manner; ensures that others understand instructions or other information that is communicated. Strong ability to solve problems and evaluate priorities.Specific Skills/Knowledge: Safety and Quality Standard Basic math skills Forklift operations. Basic mechanical skills General computer skills Advanced computer skills Supervisory/Leadership Skills Injection moldingWork Schedule 12 -hour Shifts- 7:00pm-7:30am Nights, every other weekend required. Work Environment The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. The noise level in the work environment is usually very loud. While performing the duties of this job, the employee continually works near moving mechanical parts.
