The National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) is seeking a dedicated and skilled Reliability Specialist to join our Accreditation Team in the Early Learning Program. As a professional membership organization, NAEYC works to ensure high-quality early learning for every child, from birth through age 8, and supports educators, families, and early childhood professionals. The Reliability Specialist will play a key role in maintaining the quality and consistency of NAEYC's accreditation processes through assessment visits, data analysis, and training efforts. NAEYC is a professional membership organization with 90+ employees across the US, that works to promote high-quality early learning for each and every child, birth through age 8, by connecting early childhood practice, policy, and research. NAEYC advances a diverse, dynamic early childhood profession and supports all who care for, educate, and work on behalf of young children. Responsibilities: * Accreditation and Reliability Visits * Complete ~20 reliability visits per year according to a scheduled plan. * Act as a key contact for assessors, answering questions and addressing concerns during onsite visits. * Complete accreditation visits and review program documentation as assigned. * Serve as co-assessor when needed for dual-assessor visits. * Data Collection and Analysis * Collaborate with the Reliability Coordinator to collect and analyze data from site visits. * Identify trends related to reliability and use this information to inform management decisions. * Training and Professional Development * Work with the Manager of Accreditation to coordinate training and mentorship for assessors. * Address trends in accreditation reliability through targeted professional development. * Participate in onboarding and mentoring new assessors. * Additional Responsibilities * Perform other duties as assigned in line with position needs. Qualifications: * A minimum of a baccalaureate degree with coursework in child development and early childhood education (birth through kindergarten). Related fields such as elementary education, special education, or early childhood leadership are also considered. * Minimum 5 years of relevant professional experience in early childhood education, particularly working with children from birth through age 8. * Knowledge of NAEYC's accreditation process, either through direct experience or training. * Strong written, verbal, and listening communication skills. * Detail-oriented, with a high level of accuracy and timely task completion. * Ability to adapt to shifting priorities and flexible schedules. * Self-motivated and results-driven with well-developed time management skills. * Committed to NAEYC's mission and staying up to date with early childhood education research. Salary Range: Competitive, based on experience and geographic location (remote work options available outside of the DC area). Position Designation: This role is eligible for telework. Telework and remote work eligibility is subject to NAEYC's Telework and Remote Work Policy. Hybrid policy requires one day per week onsite in Washington, DC office. This role requires travel in support of company events. Business Continuity: The nature of this role assigns this position to the Business Continuity team; therefore, this role is critical to business operations and may be called upon to be present in the event of an emergency or crisis.
