Position Summary The Production Supervisor is expected to lead, motivate, and oversee assigned department (s) in the Shop operations. The Production Supervisor ensures the team is meeting safety requirements, directing work efforts, job deadline dates and ensuring the team produces a consistent, quality product. The position will provide technical guidance regarding the installation, maintenance, testing, rebuilding and repair of power equipment. Job Responsibilities * Responsible for the productivity, training, and communications of assigned department/team. * Responsible for interviewing and hiring of team members. * Evaluate performance of team members. Provide informal and formal coaching and mentoring sessions as appropriate. * Participate in hiring of additional employees for team as business needs dictate. * Manages jobs and schedules/assigns work for employees. Coordinate/communicate with Manager and other applicable departments. * Trains, mentors, communicates with staff on technical, safety, company training and works to maintain procedures and create best practices for the shop floor. Create, maintain, communicate and adhere to documented processes and procedures. * Ensure the proper maintenance of equipment, compliance with electrical codes and adherence to safety regulations. * Assist with electrical system installation, troubleshooting and repair as needed. * Purchase supplies, ensure adequate inventory, plan budgets, prioritize purchases, prepare cost estimates and document purchases. * Observe all safety rules and Best Practices; Follow all company policies and procedures. * Demonstrate a continual effort to improve operations, decrease turnaround times, streamline work processes and work cooperatively with other departments to provide quality and seamless operation. * Completes other duties as assigned. Experience and Qualifications: * Bachelor's degree in related field and 3 years or a combination of education and experience. * Knowledge of various industry standards such as: NETA, NEC, OSHA and NFPA. * Thorough understanding of heavy industrial, utility, large commercial, renewable energy and ability to troubleshoot complex business issues. * Must be able to work safely and adhere to all safety procedures. * Proven leadership and mentoring skills. * Strong communication (written and oral). * Able to meet deadlines and handle multiple tasks. * Strong oral and written communication skills. * Able to work with various people throughout the organization-Customer Focused. * Focus on accuracy and efficiency. * For positions that utilize a company vehicle, you will be required to have a valid driver's license. Additional Information Job: Full-Time Location: Cerritos, CA Travel: Up to 5% Compensation: Pay ranges from $85,000 - $102,000 (depending on skillset and experience) per year. Relocation: Not offered for this role.
