TO APPLY go to: Edjoin.org OVERVIEW: We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Senior Manager, Advanced Technology and Innovative Learning to help lead the district and technology services in our dynamic and forward-thinking school district. The ideal candidate will be passionate about leveraging technology to enhance learning experiences and will possess a strong understanding of current and emerging technologies in the educational landscape. In this vital role within our innovative school district, the position will ensure the learning & operational excellence and security of our technology systems. This role requires a blend of project management, technical proficiency, strategic & tactical planning, and effective communication - empowering educational and administrative advancements through technology. Under general supervision of the Director of Technology Services, the Senior Manager will plan, coordinate and oversee information technology systems and education technology projects district-wide; develop project budgets; monitor and evaluate the progress of projects; collect and analyze data, conduct studies and prepare reports; and perform related duties as assigned. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND REPRESENTATIVE DUTIES: Project Management: Plan, coordinate, and oversee district-wide technology and information systems through stakeholder collaboration, data-driven monitoring, budgeting, and outcomes-based management. System Security, Access, and Support Management: Administer system security and cybersecurity measures to include cybersecurity such as access controls, password policies, cameras, and visitor management systems. Manage and respond to help tickets and support requests to ensure timely resolutions and continuous system operations. Education Technology Integration and Support: Research, recommend, implement, and support innovative EdTech tools, including Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning (ML), Virtual/Augmented Reality (VR/AR), various coding and productivity tools. Professional Development Coordination: Plan and coordinate longitudinal and one-time Professional Development (PD) sessions. Set up and manage online scheduling site(s), curate sessions, invite speakers, and ensure each session includes necessary web conference links, access codes, and feedback loops. Event and Workshop Preparation: Prepare, manage, and present various education technology workshops and events aimed at enhancing and/or showcasing instructional delivery, learning, and other student and staff support systems. Resource Management and Development: Fulfill specific resource requests such as creating guides and helping with parent resources. Develop comprehensive assessments with the support of our Data Analyst to gauge classroom academic performance and social/emotional health based on teacher and school leader input. Data Management and Reporting: Manage the import and integration of technology and education data sets, inventory of technology assets, oversee benchmark assessments, gradebooks, and ensure data accuracy. Develop and test custom reports, including the design and implementation of data systems, and ensure its integration and functionality in various data tools. Technology Experience, Evaluation, Support, and Documentation: Evaluate new technologies and platforms. Update and disseminate 'How To' documentation for users on various district supported platforms. Provide ongoing updates and information to various staff and their associated groups. Digital Citizenship: Champion, manage, and monitor district-wide digital citizenship initiatives. Grant and Program Management: Initiate and/or Manage education technology grants and programs as assigned. Communication and Website Management: Manage and contribute to various internal and external communication channels such as ParentSquare, MUSD web, and associated online properties. ENTRANCE QUALIFICATIONS: Resume Introduction Letter 3 Letters of Reference Portfolio of Work Experience Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in business administration, applied science, project management, computer science, educational technology, or a related field. Minimum of three years of experience in managing and implementing technology projects. Strong understanding and potential of current and emerging educational technologies. Demonstrate excellent project management skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Effective communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Experience with budget management and procurement processes. Commitment to ongoing professional development in the field of educational technology. KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES: KNOWLEDGE TO: Current and emerging educational technologies, including AI, ML, VR/AR, and various coding and productivity tools. Project management principles and methodologies applicable to IT and educational technology projects. System security and cybersecurity measures, including access controls, password policies, security cameras, and visitor management systems. Database and data management techniques, including data import, integration, and data quality across various technology platforms. Professional development program planning and execution, including online scheduling systems and web conferencing tools. Andragogy, pedagogy, and theory of motivation. Grants and associated grant program management. Budget management and procurement processes within a technology and/or educational context. Digital citizenship initiatives and how to effectively manage and champion these within a wide age span. Gradebooks and learning management systems. Education technology evaluation, support, and documentation processes. Effective communication strategies to include traditional print, online, social, and other media. ABILITY TO: Plan, coordinate, and oversee district-wide technology and information systems projects, ensuring stakeholder collaboration, and data-driven monitoring. Administer and manage systems security protocols to maintain operational excellence and security of technology systems. Research, recommend, implement, and support innovative educational technology solutions. Coordinate and manage PD sessions, including logistics, content curation, delivery, and feedback collection. Prepare and present at various education technology workshops and events. Develop, distribute, and manage various resources to include online and traditional print media. Manage technology and education data, ensuring the functionality and integration of data systems across various tools, schools, departments, and external organizations. Evaluate new technologies, update information, and provide ongoing support to students, staff, and other stakeholders. Work independently and collaboratively in a team environment, demonstrating strong interpersonal and collaboration skills.
