Who We Are Seeking As we scale our operations in the United States to better serve the evolving needs of our global Quick Service Restaurant (QSR) clientele, we are thrilled to be recruiting for this newly created Data Scientist opportunity, in our Washington DC office.The role of the LIFELENZ Data Scientist is to develop and deploy high-quality innovative analytical models that are in alignment with our mission - to build and grow a global AI-optimized scheduling and forecasting platform that will empower and reward people within the fast-food and Quick Service Restaurant (QSR) industry. LIFELENZ data scientists have a passion for investigating real customer problems and devising innovative solutions through statistical and mathematical analysis. Key Responsibilities The LIFELENZ Data Science team is looking for a candidate with strong analytical and data skills to join the team. The Data Scientist will work closely with multiple stakeholders across the business to develop models, optimize systems, and leverage data to support tactical and strategic decisions. Build and test machine learning models to support the LIFELENZ platform. Maintain and contribute to existing Data Science codebases. Work with the software engineering team to deploy models to the LIFELENZ platform that provide ongoing forecasts, optimizations, recommendations, and insights. Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets. Identify and investigate data issues. Review diagnostic and performance reports to locate and correct problems and optimize algorithms. Work collaboratively with peers by actively participating in research reviews and discussions. Work with Client Support and Delivery teams to communicate outcomes, changes, and new features in the LIFELENZ platform. Work with analytical leaders to prioritize business information and potential software improvements. Knowledge, Experience, and Qualifications Bachelor's or Master's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science or a relevant field. Strong knowledge and hands-on experience in several of the following areas: machine learning, statistics, optimization, regression modeling, time series modeling, deep learning, generative AI, causal inference, experimentation. 1-3 years of experience with a scripting language (Python preferred). Knowledge of statistical analysis packages (e.g., scikit-learn, NumPy, SciPy, Pandas, Statsmodels, matplotlib, and PyTorch). Proficiency with relational database concepts, SQL, and a working knowledge of ETL processes. Experience with cloud technologies such as AWS, GCP, or Azure. Ability to communicate clearly with technical and non-technical audiences. Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git). Knowledge of reporting packages (such as Tableau, Microsoft Power BI, Business Objects) is preferred. Demonstrated desire to learn new skills.
