A law firm seeks a motivated and skilled Securities Litigation Associate to join its team in Santa Monica, CA. This position offers a unique opportunity to work on high-profile securities cases, including class actions, shareholder derivative suits, and regulatory matters, for major clients across various industries. Ideal candidates will have 3-5 years of experience in securities litigation, along with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic legal environment. Duties: Represent clients in securities class actions, shareholder derivative lawsuits, and related commercial disputes at both trial and appellate levels. Advise and support clients in securities-related regulatory investigations, ensuring effective defense and minimizing enforcement actions. Collaborate with internal teams on government investigations and regulatory compliance matters. Conduct legal research, draft pleadings, and prepare comprehensive written materials for litigation. Manage and prioritize multiple complex cases, ensuring timely and efficient progress. Participate in client meetings, maintaining strong client relationships and delivering strategic legal guidance. Stay informed about developments in securities laws and regulations to provide clients with up-to-date counsel. Requirements: 3-5 years of experience in securities litigation or closely related fields. Experience handling securities-related disputes, including class actions, derivative suits, and government investigations. Admission to the State Bar of California (or eligibility to practice in California). Strong analytical, research, and writing skills. Ability to handle complex litigation in a collaborative, fast-paced setting. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Proven ability to manage deadlines and prioritize competing demands effectively. Education: Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school. Certifications: Licensed to practice law in California (or eligibility to become licensed in California). Skills: Expertise in securities law and regulatory matters. Advanced legal research and writing proficiency. Excellent interpersonal and client-facing communication abilities. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
