This position may be filled remotely or in any of our office locations. The Application Developer codes, tests, debugs, documents, and installs both new programs/technologies and changes to existing programs/technologies of a complex nature. Designs programs/technologies under the direction of supervisor with focus on internal and external clients, including but not limited to: attorneys, paralegals, administrative staff, and clients. Essential job functions include: Analyze end user data needs and develops user-oriented solutions which interface with existing applications. Write structured application/interface code from specifications conforming to established methodology and standards. Conduct unit tests of either new or modified applications. Participate in code reviews to represent reviewed work for adherence to standards and specifications. Write or revise program documentation, operations documentation, and user guides in accordance with standards. Maintain and provide support for in-house and third-party applications as needed. Perform research to problems, separating the symptoms from the actual cause, and identifies opportunities to correct the situation. Understand methodology for problem resolution/product evaluation/alternative selection. Demonstrate enthusiasm for the use of new technology. Complete assignments on time and with quality and suggest opportunities for quality/process improvements. Understand the value of a project plan. Identify and communicate the need for resources for tasks or areas assigned. Adhere to established processes and standards. Monitor progress on tasks against plan, and reports status to appropriate people. Planning: Understand the application development life cycle and demonstrates an awareness of established capacity thresholds. Demonstrate awareness of how assigned responsibilities relate to capacity. Provide estimates for assigned tasks. Build: Understand the basics of the process of gathering requirements. Translate detailed specifications/functional requirements into structured applications programs, scripts, network solutions, or requirements. Create and maintain documentation of work. Execute a test plan and document the results. Other duties as defined by management. Position Requirements Bachelor's degree with major coursework in Computer Science or Information Systems; or combination of education and commensurate work experience required. Trade Training preferred; 5 years' relevant experience required, preferably in a professional service setting. Technical Skill Areas Three years' experience building Applications on the .Net Platform. Working knowledge of Application Development using Microsoft .Net Framework, .Net Core, C#, React or Angular and SQL Server. Develop and implement SQL scripts, Stored Procedures and ETL processes. Web Services, XML, SOA, JSON. Experience with Rest API creation and consumption. Full Stack Development Experience. Knowledge of application life cycles and client/server architectures in an enterprise environment. Experience with troubleshooting and root cause analysis. Experience with Entity Framework Code First and Unit Testing. Experience with Microsoft Azure Web Apps, Function Apps, Api Apps and Logic Apps. The exact compensation will vary based on skills, experience, location, and other factors permitted by law. The expected compensation ranges for this position in various states and jurisdictions are as follows: State of California: $94,000 - $180,000 State of Colorado: $87,000 - $155,000 State of Illinois: $85,000 - $165,000 Jersey City, NJ: $102,000 - $186,000 State of Maryland: $91,000 - $138,000 State of Massachusetts: $94,000 - $180,000 State of Minnesota: $94,000 - $156,000 State of New York: $88,000 - $190,000 State of Washington: $91,000 - $173,000 Washington, D.C.: $122,000 - $179,000 The above salaries do not include a discretionary bonus, however bonus opportunities are non-guaranteed, and are dependent upon individual and firm performance.
