Job Description A Lead Engineer, Security and Risk Engineer is responsible for identifying and mitigating security and availability risks for U.S. Bank's hosting infrastructure. They may also be involved in compliance and risk assessments, and in providing technical guidance to teams. Responsibilities Driving security initiatives for hosting infrastructure Understanding operational security practices (scanning, detection, reporting, patching, etc.) Participating in compliance and risk assessments Identifying and mitigating security and compliance risks Providing research and analysis related to vulnerability resolution Proactively identifying, assessing, and mitigating reliability risks in hosting infrastructure Monitoring performance and driving ongoing availability and compliance improvements Collaborating with partners to influence product design and improvements to increase reliability and compliance Analyzing data and producing reports Analyzing failures and remediating findings Serving as a subject matter expert and providing technical leadership on security and reliability engineering best practices Developing and maintaining documentation Basic Qualifications Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience At least 10 years experience with the concepts, philosophies and tools behind the design of applications, information and underlying information technologies. At least 10 years experience with developing and implementing applications. Preferred Skills/Experience Learn or bolster existing information security knowledge and certifications Bachelor's degree (preference in a computer science, technology, engineering or math-related field) or equivalent experience 6+ years of information security engineering and infrastructure (servers, databases, middleware, etc.) experience Cloud security experience (AWS or Azure) Experience providing application consulting related to security vulnerability remediation Proficiency in: Service Now, Jira, Git-Hub, Archer, SharePoint, Confluence, Excel, Power Point, Word Ability to lead design and implementation of security automation Mature communication and organizational skills, including the ability to collaborate with internal and external partners, regulators, and leadership Location Expectations The role offers a hybrid/flexible schedule, which means there's an in-office expectation of 3 or more days per week and the flexibility to work outside the office location for the other days.
