IT Risk and Security Intern - Summer 2025 Munich Re America Services (MRAS) is a shared service organization that delivers services to all Munich Re US P&C Companies and other group entities. The Opportunity Future focused and always one step ahead As an IT Risk and Security Intern with the Application Security team, the intern will work on various day-to-day operational tasks and projects including File Integrity Monitoring Tool, Web Application Firewall, and Secure Code Scanning, which will help develop their experience within Cyber Security. Responsibilities Day-to-day operations support within Application Security Work with AppSec engineers to review the application code vulnerabilities Review unauthorized change alerts from Tripwire and follow up with application owners and escalate to ITRS management Assist with Web Application Firewall-related tasks including upgrades, patches, and reviewing blocked traffic Assist Operations team with Tripwire global implementation projects Qualifications Grade Level: currently enrolled in a Master's program (with bachelor's degree in computer science) Preferred Majors: Cyber Security or Computer Science Computer Skills: MS Word, Excel, Basic programming skills Verbal and written communication Able to effectively communicate with team members and other stakeholders Excellent written and verbal communication skills Basic understanding of Linux/RHEL At Munich Re US, we see Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion as a solution to the challenges and opportunities all around us.
