Composed of acquired marketing, media, and communications agencies and complemented by an advisory service, Acceleration Community of Companies (ACC) was created to guide and advise clients to move quickly and more efficiently with their branding, marketing, and media decisions. With ACC Advisory, the in-house consultancy practice and inter-agency team leader, ACC offers a new and integrative service approach of best-in-class specialized resources, where strategy, technology and creativity converge. With offices in Los Angeles and New York, ACC has rapidly built out much of its operating group and several Advisory clients, including Pepsi, T-Mobile, Fashion Nova, and Canopy Growth, among others. ABOUT ROLE ACC is seeking an Account Director to join the team, leading PR planning and creative ideation for an iconic, high-end mass brand (beverage) with a variety of sports, music, CPG and lifestyle extensions/campaigns. A primary focus of this role will be ensuring the account team is maximizing PR strategy/media outreach to deliver positive and impactful results for the client. The ideal candidate will have prior agency experience in PR/marketing, with a strong consumer brand background. This candidate will also have proven experience building PR strategies that meet both corporate and consumer objectives while leading results-driven national and regionally focused PR/comms programs. ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES Serve as a main liaison with brand clients and IAT members/teams Manage day-to-day workflow of account team, including senior-mid level and junior staff Developing and editing press materials, telling the most cohesive and compelling story for the brand (releases, talking points, etc.) Potential for press outreach from a regional or national level Oversee planning and execution of event activations PRINCIPAL WORKING RELATIONSHIPS Direct Supervisor: This position will report to the VP, Advisory Requirements QUALIFICATIONS The ideal candidate will possess the following knowledge, experience, and skill set: 10+ years public relations/marketing experience BA or BS Degree Experience working in a collaborative IAT environment Overseeing workstream flow and delegation while managing an account team of 3+ direct reports Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment Strong consumer brand experience (food and beverage preferable) Launching regional and national campaigns Close relationships with top-tier media and influencers Experience with new and social media strategies and campaigns is a plus PR material development (i.e. press releases, talent talking points, pitches, etc.) Experience working with celebrities and experts (interview management, media/messaging training) Experience in working with brands activating at the Super Bowl, Grammys, and other high-profile events is a plus Proficient communicator, highly organized and detail-oriented, keen sense of culture (music, movies, entertainment, trends) Acceleration Community of Companies ("ACC") provides equal employment opportunity for all applicants and employees and does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, creed, gender or sex (including pregnancy, childbirth, breastfeeding or related medical conditions), national origin, ancestry, age, physical disability, mental disability, medical condition, genetic information, family and medical care leave status, military or veteran status, marital status, family status, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, or any other characteristic protected by applicable law.
