Back to the role: We are seeking a visionary Vice President, Data Science & AI as a leader within Data & AI, with deep expertise in Microsoft Azure and Databricks . This executive will be pivotal in driving AI-powered solutions for our clients, fostering innovation, and advancing our mission to deliver exceptional value while playing a critical role in sales enablement and business growth. What you will do: Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute the vision for Valtech's data science and AI capabilities with other data leaders in the region and around the globe. Build and lead a high-performing team of data scientists, AI engineers, and analysts. Drive alignment between AI initiatives and the organization's broader business goals. Client Engagement: Act as a strategic advisor to clients, identifying opportunities for AI and data-driven transformation. Articulate the ROI that data & AI initiatives can drive in the enterprise. Collaborate with client teams to design and deliver tailored AI and data science solutions. Represent Valtech as a thought leader in the AI and data science community through conferences, publications, and events. Sales Enablement and Growth: Partner with sales teams to develop strategies for leveraging data science and AI as a competitive advantage in client proposals and engagements. Craft compelling narratives and business cases for AI solutions to support client acquisition and retention. Be a key leader in client presentations and pitches as the data science and AI subject matter expert. Identify new revenue streams and opportunities for expanding Valtech's AI offerings within existing and prospective accounts. Collaborate with marketing teams to create thought leadership content and showcase Valtech's AI capabilities to the market. Develop partner relationships within Microsoft and Databricks to help drive growth. Technical Expertise: Lead the development and deployment of scalable AI models, predictive analytics, and machine learning solutions using Microsoft Azure and Databricks. Oversee the architecture of data pipelines and platforms to ensure performance, scalability, and security. Stay ahead of emerging trends in AI, machine learning, and cloud technologies to drive innovation. What you should have: Master's or PhD in Data Science, Computer Science, AI, or a related field. 10+ years in data science and AI leadership roles, with a proven track record of delivering large-scale AI solutions. Extensive experience with Microsoft Azure (including Azure ML, Synapse/Fabric, and Data Factory) and Databricks . Demonstrated experience supporting sales pursuits and driving revenue growth through innovative AI solutions. Familiarity with software development best practices, including DevOps for machine learning (MLOps). Exceptional problem-solving and critical-thinking skills. Strong communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical audiences. Proven ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels. Compensation: This is a full-time position in the United States. The salary range offered for this position is $225K-$325K annually, depending on experience and location.
