Type of contract: Full-time, Permanent Experience level: Professionals Remote work: Not possible Job field: Transportation Services Status: Ongoing recruitment, entry date flexible Job Summary To accurately provide inventory information for company controlled material stock. This position is responsible for all the functions that support the flow of materials from inventory to the production line. Job Description Key Accountabilities: Responsible for supporting the Gantry receipt process from Forklift Operator entry into Trailer through to pallet putaway complete in Inventory Home Location. Required to monitor, correct and/or escalate all issues that do not meet First Pass Yield Accuracy expectations. For instances that require escalations, the Problem Solver is expected to communicate directly to the customer's Vision Control Team if the issue is related to Gantry receipts. If the issue is internal, the Problem Solver is expected to correct the problem after the first pallet of unload to ensure remaining pallets by Forklift Operator are uninterrupted. Internal Issues will include Configuration of New Parts for Putaway or correction of current inventory Putaway configurations. External Issues or support from Engineering or Supervision should be escalated to the appropriate party. Expected to communicate directly with Forklift Unload/Putaway Drivers to resolve issues and Inventory Monitors to ensure material is being fed accurately into Inventory for downstream customers. Maintain a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail in all work. Participate, support, and comply with all Health, Safety, Quality, and Lean initiatives and requirements. Complete all job duties in a manner that does not put him/herself or other individuals in an unsafe situation and wear all PPE (personal protective equipment) when required. Assist in any other duties to support the operations, as requested by supervisor or manager. This is a position that works directly on the warehouse floor on or around heavy machinery. Qualifications: Minimum Requirements : High school diploma or equivalent. Excellent working knowledge of Inventory Management Systems. Solid proficiency using MS Office software, particularly with Excel and Outlook. Ability to use basic measurement instruments such as tape measure, scales, and gauges. Ability to read and write English and perform basic math problems. Proven high level of attention to detail and accuracy in written work and data entry, including stock locations and tag accuracies. Ability to communicate effectively and professionally verbally and in writing (including e-mail), and to train others. Ability to stand, bend, stoop, climb, reach and lift up to 40 lbs. with or without accommodation. Obtain and maintain current certification to operate material handling equipment such as, forklift, side-loader, 4-directional lift, or cherry-picker. Preferred requirements: College coursework leading toward completion of at least a 2-year degree. Knowledge of all database programs used and their impact on material control functions (to include Titan, MASS, and/or SAP as required). Job Compensation Pay rate: $23/hour.
