Role Overview The Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) will play a pivotal role in driving Avina Clean Hydrogen's commercial strategy, leading the business development efforts, and ensuring the successful execution of multi-billion-dollar projects from inception through to Final Investment Decision (FID). This position is critical in securing off-take agreements, negotiating renewable Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs), and building strategic partnerships with key stakeholders to ensure the commercial viability of our projects. Key Responsibilities Strategic Leadership: Lead and develop the commercial strategy for Avina Clean Hydrogen, ensuring alignment with the company's long-term vision and growth objectives. Offtake & PPA Negotiations: Oversee and lead complex negotiations with off-takers, customers, and partners to secure long-term offtake agreements, including Renewable Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs), ensuring favorable terms for the company. Partnership & Stakeholder Management: Cultivate and manage relationships with key industry stakeholders, including investors, governments, project developers, and customers, to ensure the successful progression of projects. Market & Commercial Intelligence: Drive market intelligence efforts to understand market trends, regulatory shifts, and competitive dynamics, shaping the company's commercial positioning accordingly. Project Delivery: Partner with technical, legal, and finance teams to ensure smooth coordination and commercial alignment through project development stages, from early feasibility through to FID. Revenue & Growth Strategy: Lead the development of revenue models and strategies to achieve business growth, identifying new business opportunities and ensuring long-term profitability. Negotiation & Contract Management: Lead negotiations and manage commercial contracts, ensuring that risks are mitigated and the terms maximize value for the company. Team Leadership & Development: Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing commercial team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence. Key Requirements Experience: Minimum of 15 years of commercial experience in the energy, renewables, or infrastructure sectors, with a proven track record of leading complex offtake negotiations and securing large-scale PPAs. Leadership: Strong leadership and strategic thinking capabilities, with the ability to inspire and lead a cross-functional team in high-pressure environments. Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of the clean hydrogen, renewable energy markets, and decarbonization trends, including technical and regulatory landscape. Financial Acumen: Strong commercial and financial acumen, with experience in structuring and negotiating large, complex contracts and financial agreements. Communication & Stakeholder Management: Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to manage relationships with senior executives, investors, and government officials.
