Learn more at We are seeking a Scrum Master in support of a Federal Agency customer. This position requires an ACTIVE TOP-SECRET security clearance , and the ability to work onsite in the DC metro Area. With customer approval, a hybrid schedule will be available. Responsibilities Manage the scrum process with the coordination of the scrum team in Agile methodology. Strong Jira super user experience required. Remove impediments for the scrum team. Arrange daily stand-up meetings, facilitate meetings, schedule meetings, demos, and decision-making processes to ensure quick inspection and proper use of adaptation process. Assist product owner in maintaining a well-organized product backlog ready for the next sprint. Conduct retrospective meetings. Organize and facilitate the sprint planning meeting. Requirements Must currently hold an Active Top-Secret clearance . Demonstrate at least two years of Scrum Master experience. Experience in the following areas: Leading a project-centric team to support Data and AI Governance initiatives. Planning and preparing for the implementation of AI Governance Processes for fine-grained access control and decentralized DoD and AI Asset Stewardship. Leading project teams in efforts associated with training plan development, the DoD Federated Data Catalog, AI/ML Asset Registration, and overarching data and AI process development and maintenance. Experience within Jira, including creating new project spaces, kanban boards, and user assignments. User story creation. Keeping the team focused on daily and iteration goals; helping achieve quality, flow, and velocity. Facilitating the team's retrospective and leading improvement efforts. Facilitating all team meetings, including daily stand-ups, Iteration Planning, Team Demo, and Iteration Retrospective. Supporting the Product Owner with respect to priorities and scope. Actively addressing impediments, such as getting support from other teams when required. Implementing security controls required by Federal information systems. At least one (1) Agile certification such as: SAFe Advanced Scrum Master with SASM Certification from Scaled Agile, Inc. Certified Scrum Master or Certified Scrum Professional from Scrum Alliance. Agile Certified Professional from Project Management Institute. Desired: A Bachelor's degree in a relevant area of study. Physical Requirements These are the essential physical requirements needed to successfully perform the job: Sedentary work, requiring sitting up to 8 hours per day. May require lifting up to 5 pounds unassisted. Fine repetitive motor skills with hands, wrists, and fingers in coordination with eyes. Hearing, speaking, and vision adequate to perform job duties and communicate in person, via video, and telephone. Work may be performed in an office environment, which may involve frequent contact with staff and the public. Work may be stressful at times.
