The ideal candidate will possess a robust background in litigation, particularly in the pharmaceutical and medical device sectors, and be committed to delivering exceptional legal services to clients. This role provides a unique chance to work alongside seasoned professionals on complex cases while influencing case strategies and client outcomes. Duties Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs and provide legal guidance. Supervise and mentor junior associates, fostering a collaborative team environment. Collaborate with expert witnesses and other stakeholders to develop case strategies. Assist in fact development and conduct depositions to gather pertinent information. Review and draft discovery responses, legal briefs, motions, and memoranda. Actively participate in case strategy development, ensuring alignment with client objectives. Maintain a strong focus on compliance with all relevant legal and ethical standards. Requirements Minimum of 3 years of litigation experience, preferably gained at an AmLaw 100 firm. Admitted to practice in Maryland. Strong academic credentials, including a JD and additional degrees such as MD, MPH, PharmD, or Epidemiology. Demonstrated experience in products liability and/or complex commercial litigation. A solid understanding of the pharmaceutical and medical device industries is essential. Education Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school. Additional degrees (MD, MPH, PharmD, or Epidemiology) preferred. Certifications Must be admitted to practice law in Maryland. Skills Exceptional analytical and writing skills with meticulous attention to detail. Strong business judgment and excellent organizational abilities. Ability to work collaboratively in a team and independently as needed. Superior oral and written communication skills, including persuasive communication. Proven research and problem-solving capabilities. Competent project management skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
