About the role: Join our dynamic team at Shipium, where we tackle some of the most complex problems in eCommerce fulfillment and supply chain optimization. What you'll do: We are seeking a highly skilled Machine Learning Data Scientist to drive innovation and solve real-world challenges. In this role, you'll own the end-to-end process of developing machine learning models and delivering data-driven solutions, from initial concept to deployment. Key Responsibilities Include: Building and deploying predictive models (regression, classification) and optimization solutions for eCommerce and supply chain domains. Designing and managing machine learning pipelines, including data preparation, feature engineering, and model deployment. Conducting exploratory data analysis to uncover insights and opportunities in high-dimensional datasets. Applying advanced machine learning and statistical techniques to develop scalable, production-ready solutions. Experimenting and iterating to optimize model performance, scalability, and generalizability. Collaborating with product engineers to implement and integrate solutions into existing systems. Mentoring junior team members and driving best practices in machine learning and data science. Qualifications: Master's or PhD in Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related quantitative field. 4+ years of experience developing machine learning models, or equivalent expertise gained through education and practice. Strong proficiency in Python, C/C++, or Java, and familiarity with libraries such as NumPy, SciPy, and scikit-learn. Experience with big data processing frameworks like Apache Spark or Dask. Must be well-advanced in SQL and NoSQL databases. Hands-on experience with AWS services, including SageMaker, S3, and EC2. A track record of architecting scalable solutions and managing end-to-end ML pipelines. Strong analytical skills, with the ability to navigate ambiguous challenges and deliver actionable insights. Exceptional teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills.
