Senior Programmer/Analyst Web Developer

We are looking for an experienced Web Developer to assist us with the development and maintenance of our public-facing vision benefits web site. The ideal candidate will possess experience working as a web developer who can develop complex features spanning from the presentation layer to the data access layer. Responsibilities: Enhance existing and add new functionality to the company web site Participate in web site testing and quality assurance Prepare documentation describing design, coding, and comprehensive testing scenarios Provide off-hours support for releases Troubleshoot web-related issues Qualifications: Must have high level of competency in designing, coding, testing, debugging, documenting, and supporting production-quality web sites. Professional Web application programming experience including expert knowledge of Java, JSP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, EJB, JDBC, and XML Experience with HTML5, CSS3, jQuery, WordPress a plus Experience with web services and SAML required Familiar with web-framework based development (JSF, MVC) Experience with Eclipse IDE, Subversion source code management tool, and Ant Understand responsive web design, internet standards, and cross-browser compatibility Experience working with database systems such as DB2 and a good working knowledge of SQL BS in Computer Science or related field/degree, and/or equivalent work experience Experience with mobile development a plus In addition to these qualifications, we also look for the following attributes: Strong ability to analyze existing code and to formulate and implement changes Ability to work independently and within a team environment Excellent problem-solving skills Self-directed with excellent time management skills Organized and extremely attentive to detail Excellent work ethic Effective, honest, and clear communication style A good sense of humor Please submit your resume along with URLs of web sites you have worked on and description of the work you personally performed on them.
