Location: New York City, NY, United StatesDate Updated: Dec 16, 2024Job ID: 5833 Description TSP Talent Solutions is partnering with a digital pathology startup company headquartered in NYC, on the recruitment of a Vice President of AI. This VP of AI role offers significant potential for rapid growth into a CTO position. Key Responsibilities AI in Computer Vision, Innovation and Development: Lead the creation and implementation of cutting-edge AI capabilities, staying current with the latest advancements in AI technologies. Regulatory Compliance: Lead technical aspects of regulatory submission efforts (510k, DeNovo, MDR etc.). Oversee the development of AI software as a medical device (SaMD), ensuring adherence to ISO standards and Quality Management Systems (QMS). Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute a technical roadmap aligned with the company's strategic objectives, ensuring scalability and robust product development. Product Lifecycle Management: Guide the AI product development lifecycle from concept to scaling, with a focus on Change Control Board processes. Infrastructure and Data Management: Plan and oversee the technical infrastructure for large-scale datasets in digital pathology, with expertise in cloud/hybrid network and database management. Domain Adaptation: Experience in validating SaMD products on medical image scans from different manufacturers is desirable. Machine Learning: Knowledge of diverse modeling approaches and the ability to lead machine learning engineers in developing innovative solutions using complex time series data. Leadership and Team Building: Recruit, mentor, and lead top-tier AI and machine learning engineers, fostering a collaborative and innovative environment. External Collaboration: Manage relationships with external partners, ensuring seamless integration of AI technologies with payment systems and other relevant platforms. Qualifications Educational Background: Advanced degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or a related field, with a strong emphasis on AI, computer vision and/or machine learning. Experience: A minimum of 10+ years in technology product development, with a proven track record in AI-driven healthcare solutions. Technical Expertise: Proficient in Python, C++, C#, and other relevant programming languages, with hands-on experience in computer vision algorithm development. Regulatory Knowledge: Deep understanding of FDA regulations, ISO standards, and QMS for AI software products. Leadership Skills: Demonstrated ability to lead high-performing technical teams, with experience in hiring and mentoring top talent.
