FOOD: Pack Meal Kits for the Lucky Duck Food & Water Initiative Help feed hundreds of San Diego's unhoused residents through the Lucky Duck Foundation's Food & Water Initiative. This initiative has distributed more than 1.5 million meal kits to our unsheltered neighbors since the pandemic began and relies on volunteers like you to keep it going.Volunteers will be working an assembly line in a warehouse packing wrapped food items and bottled water into bags for distribution to unhoused individuals on the streets of San Diego County. All food bagged at the project will be distributed by the Lucky Duck Foundation within the week, feeding those in need. Project Requirements & Important Notes Attire: Please wear closed-toe shoes and clothing that is comfortable. Dress in layers as the project is in a warehouse and temperatures do vary. Physical Requirements: You must be able to stand for the duration of the project. Some positions require bending and lifting to restock supplies. The heaviest item would be a case of water. Accessibility: The project site is wheelchair accessible. One position is available for sitting and helping with bags.
