Blair Academy is seeking a strategic and energetic fundraiser to join our advancement team as the Director of Annual Giving. Located on a stunning 463-acre campus just an hour from New York City, Blair Academy is a co-educational boarding school community centered on academic excellence and meaningful connection among staff and students, parents, alumni and other supporters. This leadership role plays a critical part in fostering a culture of philanthropy and interest in helping Blair further the School's strategic priorities and impact its educational mission. Role at a Glance: Strategically cultivate and solicit leadership gifts for the Blair Fund, building sustained and meaningful relationships with donors. Manage a number of reunion classes to encourage giving and attendance. Lead volunteer recruitment and engagement for impactful class outreach. Travel and connect with prospects, bringing energy to cultivation, solicitation and stewardship visits. Supervise and mentor Blair Fund team members. Develop and implement successful solicitation strategies for outreach in person, by mail, phone, email, the web and social platforms. Drive high-profile campaigns like the Peddie Challenge and Day of Giving. Oversee the True Blue loyalty giving program (with the Director of Stewardship) and alumni-focused social media engagement (with the Director of Alumni Relations). Coordinate and track the solicitation of the Blair Fund's leadership donors and prospects, working closely with other advancement team members. Collaborate on engagement events and networking opportunities. What YOU Must Bring: A bachelor's degree and 3 to 5 years of fundraising experience, ideally in annual giving. Experienced in using giving software, including Raiser's Edge, Blackbaud NXT and GiveCampus. A creative mindset paired with an exceptional ability to multitask and meet deadlines. Proficiency with Google Workspace, Zoom and email marketing tools. Strong writing, communication and project management skills. Passion for independent schools and philanthropy.
