About The Role: The Data & Analytics team at DriveWealth creates data products that provide access to relevant data and insights to help partners succeed. This Principal Data Engineer will take ownership of the regulatory related data products focused on enabling our compliance team and partners achieve their goals. The initial projects will center around core data processing that delivers data to regulatory parties and partners such as CAT and CAT2E. The team places a focus on ensuring data quality and reliability, which has resulted in some early partner facing data products that enable data quality improvements. This role will work closely with a regulatory data product manager to expand upon these data products over time, while also working with other cross-functional partners and compliance professionals to ensure that requirements are met with scalable technical designs and strong engineering principals. The ideal candidate is excited by both processing large volumes of data and thinking through new solutions to reduce the operational burden of regulatory requirements through human centered automation. The candidate should be excited about coming into a team in the process of shaping the direction of data and analytics at DriveWealth, while balancing competing priorities and laying the groundwork for scale. What You'll Do: Build and maintain data products used to solve compliance and regulatory needs at DriveWealth Establish best in class development practices that put data quality first without unnecessarily hindering deployment time Work with business partners, compliance and product managers to finalize requirements, anticipating future features to proactively provide value from data Work with broader data & analytics team to ideate, build and maintain "self service" data products that enable data and analytics usage (tables, reports, dashboards and python notebooks) while stepping in to help deliver and provide guidance wherever necessary Work to establish an open and scalable data culture through documentation, constructive code reviews and clear explanations of priorities and pain points Provide thought leadership, best practices on architecture and tooling, and standards for designing and implementing scalable data analytics solutions Provide mentorship and guidance to analytics engineers and analysts What You'll Need: 10+ years of experience solving data problems with business partners 5+ years experience with regulatory and compliance reporting 5+ years of experience working with trading systems Experience working within larger data team: CI/CD process leveraging github and AGILE development where possible Languages: Python, SQL, Spark (PySpark, Spark SQL), Rest API Compute platforms: Databricks, AWS (e.g. Delta Lake, Kinesis and Kinesis Firehose) Databases: DynamoDb, PostgreSQL, SQL Server Orchestration: Airflow, DBT BS in Computer Science or equivalent program Nice To Have, But Not Required: Experience with the FIX protocol Investigating CAT break reports and regulatory inquiries #J-18808-Ljbffr
