UltraViolet Cyber is currently seeking a Google Cloud Security Engineer with experience supporting large customers and/or Federal customers in the Washington DC area. This is a thrilling opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies in cloud computing and the Google Cloud Platform. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, optimizing, and supporting cybersecurity applications or infrastructure as part of an overall Cloud Engineering team with a Federal Government Agency. The role will support a federal agency and require US Citizenship and a Federal background investigation. Hybrid Schedule, Partial Telework: This position requires 2 days per week in Arlington, VA, with the expectation of a RTO to be implemented in 2025 from the Government Agency. What You'll Do: Design, implement, optimize, and troubleshoot Google Cloud for a client hosting systems and services in GCP. Strong analytical, quantitative, communication, and presentation skills. Integration with other cloud providers including AWS and Azure. Excellent ability to communicate with both technical and non-technical audiences. Ability to anticipate customer requirements and build strategic plans. Accountable and responsible: a self-starter, self-motivated, focused, and self-sufficient. Experience with infrastructure management and support and system administration in Windows and UNIX environments. Familiarity with system security concepts and mitigation strategies such as POAMs and vulnerabilities. Proficiency with MS Office and MS Project. What You've Done: Minimum of 3 years of experience supporting Cloud Environments with a bachelor's degree or 7 years of experience without a degree. At least 2 years of experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP). A minimum of 1 year of experience supporting AWS and/or Azure. Google Cloud Certifications are a plus. US Citizenship is required, and candidates must be willing to undergo a US Government background investigation. Obtaining Public Trust clearance is necessary.
