User Interface Systems Engineer

Profiles is hiring a UI Systems Engineer for a global retailer on a 6-month contract to perm opportunity. *MUST have experience within the eCommerce retail (clothing/garments) industry. Key Responsibilities: Implement complex UI components and interaction patterns that maintain design fidelity while meeting performance requirements. Architect and develop reusable animation systems and transition frameworks that scale across our products. Partner with UX Design Engineer and designers to evolve technical approaches for implementing advanced interface concepts. Build and maintain core UI infrastructure components that enable consistent, high-quality user experiences. Establish best practices for performance optimization in animation and interactive elements. Provide technical leadership in front-end architecture decisions, particularly around UI performance and interaction complexity. Qualifications: Strong front-end engineering foundation with deep expertise in UI architecture and performance optimization. Expertise in complex CSS animations, transitions, and responsive design implementation. Experience with iOS development in SwiftUI or UIKit. Experience building and maintaining design system components at scale. Understanding of UX principles and ability to collaborate effectively with designers. Track record of solving complex technical challenges while maintaining exceptional user experience.
