The Senior Payroll Specialist processes and audits semi-monthly and bi-weekly payrolls across multiple companies for a multi-state employee population, and may include payroll for team players. The Senior Payroll Specialist is forward-thinking, analytical, detail-oriented, and methodical, with experience in payroll administration and knowledge of payroll tax and wage and hour regulations. The successful candidate should effectively collaborate and problem-solve with multiple departments (i.e. HR/Legal) related to Company payroll policies and procedures. Responsibilities Prepare and process semi-monthly and bi-weekly multi-state payroll transactions, payroll taxes, and federal, state, and local compliance using ABI, Workday and ADP systems Validate and reconcile payroll transaction data to ensure accurate payroll payments, reporting and records, including review of certain Workday dashboards and reports Review and audit time and attendance reports and employee correction forms for proper payroll processing Communicate with managers and/or employees regarding payroll discrepancies and proactively work to resolve such items Review the Workday Payroll Dashboard for Compensation Changes, One-Time Payments, Department Transfers, etc. Partner with Human Resources on compliance reporting Prepare and input payroll accounting entries and assist with reconciling payroll balance sheet accounts Reconcile 401K contributions and loans, and responsible for processing bi-weekly submissions Maintain accurate records and reports of payroll transactions, including quarterly and year-end reporting Reconcile ADP Quarter Tax Reports and W-2s Prepare and validate the annual sportsSchedule 18 (staffing and wages) and Player Salary schedules Support an environment that encourages, values, and delivers outstanding customer service Support the accounting and finance management team with ad-hoc reporting and reviewing payroll-related expenses on monthly financials, etc. Perform other duties as assigned Skills Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience preferred Minimum of 5+ years of multi-state payroll and payroll accounting experience Experience with Time and Attendance and Payroll systems (preferably ABI, ADP, and Workday) and accounting systems (Microsoft Dynamics 365 preferred) Knowledge of sports team payroll and operations is helpful Excellent team player dedicated to the department's success Proactive team player with excellent communication skills, both written and verbal Self-motivated and possess strong organizational, collaboration and critical thinking skills Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel Able to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and deadlines Able to maintain privacy and confidentiality with sensitive data #J-18808-Ljbffr
