Our client is a leading provider of technologies and solutions for water and wastewater treatment. The Application Engineer - PFAS is responsible for preparing technical and commercial proposals in compliance with customers' requirements/specifications, providing the best application solutions to customers, and managing the bidding process in collaboration with Regional Sales Managers. Essential duties and responsibilities of this position include: Generating equipment technical scopes and commercial proposals and providing a coherent unitary bid package for customer review. Being responsible for the review of project/application specifications, equipment requirements, equipment selections, cost estimates, and project schedules. Recommending and assisting the sales team with technical application solutions based on specific customers' requirements and challenges. Specifying size and selecting engineered systems and/or equipment in accordance with customer supplied specifications and/or performance requirements. Reviewing customer supplied Terms and Conditions with the legal team to ensure compliance with the company's contractual policies. Generating detailed cost analysis for custom engineered equipment and systems, including compilation of purchased subcomponent, labor, field service, and manufacturing costs by accessing archived records, outside vendors, and other sources as necessary. Generating equipment pricing from cost estimates, ensuring proper margins and commissions. Maintaining compliance with company-required monetary levels of approvals and signoffs. Maintaining and controlling the latest equipment price lists and validity including vendors' price lists. Defining and supporting regulatory issues with sales or service projects. Working with the sales, engineering, and operations departments in the review of project plans and specifications. Preparing handover material/documents of awarded projects to Project Management, Engineering, and Operations departments. Attending technical meetings with customers during the tendering process. Understanding and adhering to all company health and safety procedures as related to essential job functions. Qualifications for this position include: The ideal candidate is a chemical or environmental engineer. Minimum of 3+ years experience in a related area. EIT or PE a plus. Effective written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office. Familiar with SalesForce. Excellent organizational skills. Ability to work in a diverse team environment. Self-motivated and proactive. Travel 20-25%. The salary for this position is $120K or commensurate with experience, plus bonus and full benefits. This position offers growth potential.
