Trial Attorney Civil Litigation

A law firm seeks a skilled and experienced Trial Attorney to join its team in Los Angeles, CA. This full-time position is designed for an attorney with substantial trial experience who is ready to take charge of managing and litigating cases. Duties: Handle and oversee all aspects of civil litigation cases, including drafting motions and pleadings. Represent clients in court and during trial proceedings. Take depositions and manage discovery. Participate in legal research, drafting, and case preparation. Engage in negotiations and settlement discussions. Develop and maintain client relationships and contribute to business development. Meet billable hours requirements, which may include non-billable activities such as client development, MCLE, and educational events. Collaborate with senior attorneys on complex legal matters. Requirements: Proven trial experience (first chair experience preferred; second chair with aspirations to take the lead are encouraged). Expertise in law and motion, court appearances, depositions, and managing trial proceedings. Strong ability to handle multiple cases and manage time effectively. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong attention to detail and analytical abilities. Ability to manage complex litigation and negotiations. Admission to the California State Bar. Experience handling complex litigation cases is preferred. Education: Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school. Certifications: Licensed to practice law in California. Skills: Strong trial advocacy and litigation skills. Proficiency in legal research and drafting. High-level communication and negotiation skills. Ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
