The engineer uses technical knowledge along with interpersonal skills to understand customer issues and propose solutions. The engineer may participate in all facets of the business cycle including quoting, forecasting, preparing technical literature, presenting product features and benefits, and solving technical and commercial issues. Requirements: Bachelor of Electrical Engineering or a very similar field required Preference for bilingual (Spanish) Relevant industry experience required (internship acceptable) Advanced Excel or SQL experience preferred Responsibilities: Assist and lead the sales department with product support including technical presentations, proper application of our products, review customer engineering specifications, preparation of quotations under supervision, and obtaining answers to questions at all stages of negotiation, production, and after shipment activities. Possesses a general knowledge of the product offering and industry standards (i.e., UL, CE, NEMA, IEEE, etc.) Possesses a general knowledge of the application of Toshiba's product offerings. Develop and review product literature such as manuals, brochures, application notes, success stories, and white papers. Develop a general knowledge of other Toshiba complementary products. Test assigned products in the laboratory environment for their performance characteristics. Develop a general knowledge of our competitors' product offerings. Interface with Design Engineers to resolve technical problems and assist with new product specifications. Communicate with the sales force and customers. Train the sales force and customers, either independently or with others. Complete additional projects as assigned by the supervisor. Comply with all Toshiba policies and procedures, linking company objectives to assigned activities. Be aware of and maintain profitability through orders and quotes. This position may be responsible for sign-off/review of quotes, according to Toshiba's policy. Travel: 25% to 50% Toshiba International Corporation (TIC) is an equal opportunity employer.
