Charlie Mike has partnered with a national leader offering comprehensive energy solutions (Solar, CHP, Battery Storage, LED) to commercial and industrial clients across the country. Our client is looking to add a Renewable Energy Electrical Engineering Project Manager to their talented and growing team! Responsibilities This position is primarily responsible for leading the technical electrical engineering evaluation, design, and execution of solar projects. Manage the design and review of solar system drawings including electrical interconnection, modeling, and performance data. Review technical equipment specifications and conceptual/detailed design including analysis of load flow, voltage drop, arc flash, and integration of protective relay systems and controls. Prepare and review single lines, electrical block diagrams, power, and instrumentation plans. Assess project structural considerations and interconnect issues. Coordinate various engineering related activities (studies, surveys, etc.). Review engineering work to ensure compliance with applicable codes, industry standards, safety practices, technical specifications, and contractual requirements. Review technical portions of RFP and contract documents. Conduct site visits to determine optimal design/layout/POI. Act as liaison with Project Management on matters relating to engineering progress, quality, and scope issues on projects, as well as interface with customers on technical questions/concerns. Support the preparation of sales proposals and needs relative to quoting, design & follow up. Travel as needed. Education & Experience Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering required, minimum 1-3 years experience. Solar or new construction project management experience preferred. Proficiency in understanding solar system design (Helioscope, AutoCAD, PVsyst). NABCEP Design Specialist Certification preferred. Knowledge of Electric (NEC) and Fire codes. Critical and innovative thinking; attention to detail. Experience with various solar panels and inverters. Experience preparing electrical engineering design packages. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively. Strong written/verbal communication skills.
