Tax Manager

Alliance Resource Group has partnered with a well-known and respected private equity firm that is looking to add a Tax Manager to their team due to year-over-year growth. There is incredible opportunity for growth within the organization. This position will also report to an ex-Big 4 partner who prioritizes mentorship and development of their team. Responsibilities Work with external tax accountants to review and file annual federal (Forms 1065 and 1120), state and other returns for various limited partnerships, limited liability companies, and corporations in compliance with laws and regulations within specified time frames. Work with Fund Accountants to perform tax withholding analysis on distributions to investors; including coordination and review of Forms W-8 and W-9, as applicable. Work with Investor Relations team to address investor-related tax questions. Work with Fund Accountants, portfolio companies, and external tax accountants to prepare taxable income estimates and review tax distribution calculations. Provide support to transaction tax structure and fundraising review process. Work with external tax accountants and fund administrator to ensure compliance with the Foreign Account Tax Compliance Act ("FATCA"), Common Reporting Standards ("CRS"), and other tax regulatory regimes. Receive and process federal/state tax regulatory notices. Work with Fund Accountants and external tax accountants to report annual 1099s and 1042s. Ensure any tax payments and/or refunds are processed within specified deadlines. Review draft/final Schedule K-1s/tax returns for reporting accuracy before disseminating and filing. Assist with tax audits, if any. Prepare use tax, property tax, LA City Business Tax, and SIFL calculations for the management company. Review and coordinate PTET payments. Review GP financial statements, tax returns, and quarterly estimates. Stay abreast of new/changed tax regulations pertaining to funds/businesses.
