Sr. Systems Engineer - Top Secret Clearance - (24663) Location: ARLINGTON, VA 22201 US (Primary) % Travel: 0 - 10% Job Description Are you an experienced Systems Engineer with demonstrated experience supporting DoD requirements? Join our Joint Staff J-8 team at the Pentagon! As a Systems Engineer you will: Utilize sound systems engineering principles to conduct analysis, coordinate design solutions, and apply mathematical methods to solve complex system needs. Leverage systems engineering experience/education to address issues such as logistics, the coordination of different teams, development and analysis of requirements. A week in the life of an Systems Engineer : Support complex projects to include design and management over the project life cycle. Apply sound principles and methods to difficult problems in technical areas to arrive at automated solutions. Apply work-processes and tools to manage risks on technical projects in the areas of engineering, organizational studies, and project management. Design and prepare technical reports and related documentation, and make charts and graphs to record results. Prepare and deliver presentations and briefings. Job Requirements: Masters of Science degree from an accredited college or university in Systems Engineering with a minimum three (3) years of task-related experience; OR Bachelor of Science degree in Systems Engineering with a minimum six (6) years of task-related experience. A degree in other engineering fields or operations research may be substituted for a systems engineering degree. Prior experience performing systems engineering related duties. Active TS clearance AMERICAN SYSTEMS is committed to pay transparency for our applicants and employee-owners. The salary range for this position is $140,000 - $176,000. Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors permitted by law.
