Data Scientist

Artnet is the leading international platform to buy, sell, and research art online. We are looking to recruit a Data Scientist with at least 1 year of experience in organizing and mining large datasets. The successful candidate will work with one of the most sophisticated data types in the world: art-related data. Think image mining, natural language processing, graph databases, text generation. We will give you the freedom and support you need to grow fast, as you will be in the driver seat for one of the largest data projects in our industry with a significant impact on our business and stakeholders. You will be responsible for implementing your solutions and let your creativity speak. You will be trained in some of the most advanced technologies in our field and grow your skills in the field of data science for unstructured data with world-class specialists, in a world-class company. Responsibilities Build data tools: Build libraries to extract data from many different sources, clean and parse them to build an integrated database. Improve our statistical toolbox: Advance our capabilities for how statistics and machine learning should be used in parsing and cleaning data, as well as exploiting the database for data activation by our team. Develop fantastic visualizations: Transform data and insights into compelling and creative visualizations. Qualifications: Good knowledge of the most common Python libraries for data mining. Experience in scraping data (e.g., using Selenium), parsing and cleaning data using text mining tools. Experience in data visualization and analysis. Experience with TensorFlow 2.0. Experience with graph databases such as Neo4J. Experience with Spark is a plus. Basic knowledge of SQL. Why join our team?
