Job Description Job Title : Cloud Platform Engineer - Claims Processing FocusLocation : Remote with occasional visits to the Hartford, CT office (local candidates preferred)Start Date : December 23, 2024End Date : June 27, 2025 (with strong potential for extension) Position Overview We are seeking a talented Cloud Platform Engineer with expertise in AWS technologies and claims processing to join our team. This position involves working in a 24/7 Production Support environment , ensuring seamless cloud operations and delivering robust solutions. The ideal candidate will possess 3-5 years of experience in AWS tools and technologies, combined with healthcare domain knowledge, particularly in Medicare/Medicaid plans or platforms . The position is remote but requires local availability for periodic client site visits in Hartford, CT . Key Responsibilities Provide 24/7 production support for critical cloud-based applications and systems. Work extensively with AWS technologies, including:Step Functions : Orchestrating serverless workflows. Lambda : Deployment and management. PySpark : Data processing and analysis. Glue : Data integration and ETL. RDS : Relational database management. S3 and CloudWatch : Storage and monitoring solutions. Ensure smooth claims processing by leveraging industry best practices and AWS solutions. Collaborate with stakeholders to address technical challenges and implement solutions. Adapt to rotating shift schedules as needed. Required Skills and Experience Claims Processing : 4-6 years of experience. AWS Step Functions : 4-6 years. AWS Lambda Administration : 4-6 years. PySpark : 4-6 years. AWS Glue : 4-6 years. Expertise in Medicare Advantage or healthcare payer platforms: 4-6 years. Preferred Skills Proficiency in Terraform , EKS (Elastic Kubernetes Service) , Java , Spring Boot , Liquibase , and Linux systems . Experience in healthcare domain operations, particularly with Medicare/Medicaid plans and claims processing workflows. Education and Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field. Strong understanding of the AWS technology stack and its application in healthcare environments.
