Electrical Quality Manager - Switchgear (Houston) Houston, United States | Posted on 11/12/2024 The Quality Control Manager is responsible for ensuring that products (Power Control Rooms, Switchgear, Motor Control Centers) meet established quality standards and customer expectations. They develop and implement quality control processes, procedures, and systems to monitor and improve product and service quality. The Quality Control Manager also leads a team of inspection professionals, conducts audits, analyzes data, and provides recommendations for improvement. They collaborate with cross-functional teams to address quality issues, develop corrective actions, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. They lead strategic initiatives that drive safety, quality, on-time delivery, and productivity within the Quality Control Department as well as support initiatives that are led by others. They may provide training, individual development plans, and support to employees on quality-related matters. Responsibilities Lead the department in strategic, continuous improvement initiatives. Resource planning and project execution for the Quality Control function. Development and monitoring of the departmental budget and manpower planning. Development of the Quality Control Team technical competencies and development plans through training and other means. Leading continuous improvement in Quality Control work instructions, processes, and documentation. Supporting other continuous improvement initiatives throughout the business. Serve as a technical resource for internal and external stakeholders. Organize and conduct internal quality audits. Act as Lead Auditor for internal quality audits. Meet with customers as required to ensure that their needs are addressed. Troubleshoot and solve technical problems as they arise, associated with products and test equipment. Available to answer technical questions from Customers, Inspectors, and other internal stakeholder groups. Requirements Minimum Qualifications BS Degree in Electrical Engineering, Technology or equivalent experience. Minimum 2-5 years of experience in an Electrical role. Minimum 4 years of experience in a leadership role. Preferred Qualifications Minimum 2 years of experience in a Quality Engineer role (preferred). Technical knowledge of codes, standards, inspection requirements of Power Control Rooms, Switchgear, and Motor Control Centers. Experience inspecting Power Control Rooms, Switchgear, and Motor Control Centers. Experience in the development of inspection procedures and acceptance criteria. #J-18808-Ljbffr
